Santa Catalina Island, or simply Catalina Island as it is usually called, is one of the Channel Islands and situated less than 25 miles southwest of Los Angeles. The island is a popular destination for both tourists and Los Angelenos in search of a little outdoor adventure, and a number of tours operate both on and around the island to take in its great natural beauty and extensive wildlife.
